This quality bed and breakfast venue, central to the Cambrain Mountains, beaches and University towns of Lampeter and Aberystwyth, offers guests a retreat from the stress and trials of modern life. Relax in the guest house's tranquil surroundings and four star accommodation, including a log cabin overlooking a stream. Rhyd-y-groes has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, peaceful walks and Red Kites flying overhead. Wonder at the sound of the owls hooting in the evening and marvel at the night sky with stars the size of golf balls - excellent for astronomers. The guest house restaurant is located beside a stream and bridge in the grounds of Rhyd-y-groes. The character 18th Century restaurant is fully licensed and is the perfect place for guests to enjoy their breakfast and evening meal. We cater for all special diets, Vegetarian, Vegan, Pescatarian, Gluten and Dairy intolerance etc. Just notify us of your requirements upon booking and we will ensure your special dietary needs are met to the full. Relax in the restaurant gardens - the proprietors organise barbeques in the summer months, a great social event for B&B guests.
	To complete your relaxing break at the bed and breakfast you can unwind in the hot tub/spa which is positioned outside in the summer and under cover in the cooler months, take a refreshing dip in the guest house outside swimming pool or, for the more energetic guest, test your acrobatic skills on the trampoline. Children may wish to meet the animals and help with the egg collection in the mornings, a contribution to B&B breakfast. Rhydy-groes can offer equine B&B, with accommodation for up to three horses, a paddock and secure paddock parking for horse boxes.

Melvyn & Eve moved to Wales in August 2004 to set up their dream retreat and welcome guests into their home to share in the delights on offer. The main house was built in 1994, leaving the old site partly intact. Extensive improvements have been made to the guest accommodation resulting in comfortable 4 Star Visit Wales accommodation with fine views.

Rhyd-y-Groes is the perfect holiday destination for families with young children – we have ponies, ducks and sheep for the children to meet and make friends with.

Bird watchers would also appreciate the abundance of wild birds that visit our garden and neighbouring fields – Red Kites being of particular interest.

We have three 12’ x 12’ stables and guests are welcome to bring their equine companion on holiday with them. Ideal for those entering the Lampeter Show or Tregaron Harness Races.
